The Emory University men's and women's cross country teams head into the second week of action on Saturday (Sept. 8) when the squads compete at the Georgia State Invitational.  The meet will be held at the Nash Farm Battlefield in Hampton, Ga., the site of the 2012 NCAA D-III South/Southeast Regional Championships that Emory will be hosting.  The women's race will be a 4K competition while the men will race over a 6K course.  Action is slated to begin at 9:00 a.m.

Other local teams expected to take part include Clayton State, Oglethorpe, host Georgia State and SCAD-Atlanta.

Both teams will be looking to continue the momentum gained after last weekend's strong showing at the Sewanee/Berry Invitational.  The women's side posted a second-place finish while the men's squad recorded a fourth-place performance.
