Freshman Michael McBane helped the Emory men's cross country team to a second-place finish out of 16 teams at the Furman Classic.

McBane was the first Eagle and eighth overall out of 142 competitors to cross the finish line, clocking an 8k time of 25:27.

His performance helped Emory to 107 points, second only to first-place Mount Olive's mark of 24 points.
