Emory junior Lukas Mees helped the men's cross country team to a
second-place finish out of six teams at the Gulf Coast
Stampede.
Mees was the first Eagle to cross the finish line and fourth
overall out of 62 entries, covering the 8K course in a time of
26:28. It represented the first time this year that he ranked
as the team's top runner and the third time in as many outings that
he had placed among the top two.
Emory finished the competition with 54 points, trailing only
Harding University's 29 points.
