Host Furman captured the top spot with 22 points while Mount Olive was runner-up with 93 points.  Auburn University was third at 102 points with Lee University (113 pts.) and Clemson (138 pts.) closing out the top five.

Freshman Luis Torres (Beaverton, OR) topped the Emory pack with a showing of 25:58 that ranked 23rd in the 226-runner field.  Sophomore Bennett Shaw (San Jose, CA) was the second Eagle and 24th overall competitor to cross the finish line with his effort of 25:59 establishing a personal best.  Junior Shane Sullivan (Johns Creek, GA) closed out the meet with a personal-best, racing to a 26:07 that slotted him 28th in the field.  Seniors Michael McBane (Chesterfield, VA) and Michael Sisario (San Ramon, CA) rounded out the team's scorers with efforts of 26:27 and 26:35, respectively, placing 38th and 44th overall.
