Following her graduation from Sahuarita High School, she played for Pima Community College for two seasons ... During her freshman year, she was a member of the 2006 squad that captured the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I national championship, earning all-tournament honors in the process ... Enjoyed a fine prep career as a pitcher at Sahuarita High, where her earned All-State Southern Arizona honors on three occasions ...In addition, she was chosen to the 3A All-Tournament during state competition for three years ... During her senior season she struck out 242 batters in 163 innings and fashioned a 1.39 ERA ... Fashioned a glittering ERA of 0.46 and whiffed 225 batters in 165 innings her junior year ...
