honors after hitting .615 (8-for-13) with 14 RBIs in helping Emory
to four wins ... In her first collegiate game, she went 2-for-3
with a three-run homer in her second collegiate at-bat, and then
stroked a grandslam the following inning, while finishing with
eight RBIs, the third-highest game total in school history, in a
15-1 win over Maryville College ... Drove in Zara Louy in the
bottom of the eighth inning with the winning run in a 1-0 win over
Greensboro (Feb. 14) ... Recorded four hits in five trips to the
plate and scored twice in helping the Eagles to a 16-4 win over
Millsaps (Feb. 28) ... Went 3-for-4 and droing run in the bottom of
the seventh inning in a 3-2 win over regionally ranked Brandeis in
the UAA Tournament ... Went 3-for-3, including a home run, and
totaled three RBIs in the second meeting against Case at the UAA
Tournament ... Helped the Eagles to a 5-2 win over regionally
ranked Bridgewater when she led off the game with a homer and then
later scored the eventual game-winning run ... Opened the season
with a 12-game hitting streak and recorded RBIs in each of her
first seven contests.
Prior to Emory: Attended West Springfield High School where she earned
four letters in softball ... High school coach was Maggie Gibson
... Served as her team's captain her junior and senior years ...
Captured a first-team berth on the all-district team ... Was the
recipient of her school's Donna D. Vernona Award ... Also competed
