Mother nature continues to wreak havoc on the NCAA Division III Softball Regional in Salem, Virginia, as rain and lightning has forced the suspension of the Emory vs. Roanoke game. The contest will resume Sunday (May 12) morning at 9:00 am with the Eagles holding a 5-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth. The winner stays alive in the double-elimination format and will face Christopher Newport (noon, Sunday) in another elimination battle while the loser suffers its second defeat and sees its season come to end.
Following the conclusion of the Eagles- Maroons contest, Salisbury and Piedmont are scheduled to play in a 10:00 am contest that was originally scheduled for Saturday. The remainder of the Regional games are as follows.
