Senior first baseman Megan Light hit .538 in helping the
Eagles to doubleheader sweeps over Messiah and DePauw.
Light collected a team-leading seven hits in 13 trips to the plate
and scored a team-high six runs over the four games that saw Emory
boost its record to 16-0 on the year. She compiled 14 total bases
and had a 1.077 slugging percentage. After posting a 3-3
performance at the plate in a 8-0 decision over Messiah, Light
exploded with another 3-for-3 effort in a 15-5 win over DePauw,
socking two homers, including a three-run blast in the fifth inning
that closed out the game. She finished that contest with five
RBIs.
Light has started all 16 games and is hitting a team-high .511
(23-for-45). She tops the squad with three homers and 23 RBIs
and has seven multi-hit contests to her credit.
