Eight from Softball Honored as NFCA All-Academic Athletes

The Emory University softball team was recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Tuesday afternoon, earning the All-Academic Team award.

To earn the All-Academic Team award, the cumulative GPA of allstudent-athletes who used a season of eligibility must be at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester/quarter. The team finished 18th amongst Division III programs with a 3.67 combined GPA.

Additionally, eight Eagles were honored by the NFCA by being named as All-Academic Athletes. For the All-Academic Athlete award, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. 

Earning recognition this season were Leslie Berg, Ashley Chu, Isabel Cohen, Mackenzie Duford, Kayla Lang, Tyler Miller, Page Nellis and Natalie Swift.
