Emory University sophomore Ella Hoyle has been selected as the University Athletic Association Softball Hitter of the Week for the second time in her career as announced by the league office on Monday. 

Hoyle was a powerhouse for the Eagles this weekend as they split their series against Carnegie Mellon in the UAA opening series. Hoyle finished the weekend going 7-13 for a .538 average and posted four extra base hits including three doubles. She totaled 11 RBI through four games while posting six RBI in game three of the series. Hoyle recorded a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .563 on base percentage and was intentionally walked twice on Saturday.

Hoyle currently ranks in a tie for second in the UAA with her 33 hits and second with her 27 RBI.

The Eagles will travel to Cleveland, Ohio this weekend to face the No. 6 ranked Case Western Reserve with game one beginning Friday at 3:00 PM.
