Junior Courtney Von Stein averaged 13.0 points
and 2.0 assists in helping the Eagles to a split of a pair of UAA
road games. In a tough 59-55 setback at NYU, Von Stein picked
up eight points, tying for second high on the team, hitting
two-of-three from both the field and three-point range as well as a
pair of free throws. She then exploded with a career-high 18
points and three assists in propelling Emory to a 73-65
come-from-behind verdict at Brandeis on Jan. 24. Von Stein
hit five-of-seven from the floor, including a career-best
five-of-six from beyond the arc, and three-of-four from the charity
stripe in coming up with her fourth double-figure scoring
performance of the year.
In the two games, she sank 70 percent (7-of-10) from the field and
77.8 percent (7-of-9) from three-point range. In addition,
she was successful on 5-of-8 from the foul line.
