Junior Khadijah Sayyid came through with a career contest in
helping the Emory women's basketball team to a season-opening win
at LaGrange College.
Sayyid led all players with a career-high 24 points and tied
teammate Ilene Tsao for the team lead with eight rebounds as the
Eagles raced to a 65-39 triumph over the Panthers. Sayyid
concluded the contest by sinking a career-high nine field goals in
13 attempts, including four-of-six from three-point range en route
to registering her first career 20-point contest. In
addition, she also chipped in two assists and a pair of
steals.
