Junior Ilene Tsao recorded a pair of double-figure scoring games
in helping the Emory women's basketball team to a split of a pair
of UAA road games.
Tsao averaged team highs in both points (19.0 ppg) and assists
(4.5) as the Eagles topped Case Western Reserve before coming up
short against Carnegie Mellon.
In a 61-60 decision over CWRU, Tsao registered 10 points, second
high on the squad, and contributed eight rebounds, tying for the
team's top mark, and four steals. In an 85-74 setback at CMU,
Tsao pumped home a career-high 28 points, the high-water mark by an
Emory player this season and the 16th-highest individual total in
program history, sinking 12-of-23 from the floor, including
three-of-six from beyond the arc. In represented her seventh
double-figure scoring performance of the season and the third time
that she ranked as the Eagles' top scorer.
Through games played Feb. 22, Tsao is fifth on the team in scoring
(7.8 ppg) and paces the squad in assists (3.8 apg).
