Junior Fran Sweeney led the Emory women's basketball team in scoring and steals over a three-game stretch that saw the Eagles post a 2-1 record.
Sweeney averaged 10.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.7 steals per outings during the Emory's opening three games of the 2015-16 campaign.
Sweeney scored in double figures in two of the three contests, ranking second on the team with 11 points while registering eight steals, tying the second-highest individual game total in program history, in a 65-59 decision at Oglethorpe. She followed that effort by being the lone Eagle to score in double figures, posting a career-best 18 points, hitting 7-of-12 from the floor, including four treys in eight attempts, in a setback at Birmingham Southern. In addition to her point totals vs. BSC, Sweeney tied for squad's lead with six boards and recorded a team-high five steals.
