Ashley Oldshue

Sophomore Ashley Oldshue spearheaded the Emory women's basketball team to home victories over the weekend against Brandeis and New York University.

Oldshue averaged 19.5 points and shot 55.6 percent (15- of 27) from the field as the Eagles topped Brandeis, 61-50, and NYU, 78-75. In addition, she was successful one nine-of-10 free throw attempts and averaged 2.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per contest. 

Oldshue topped all players with 19 points and three blocks in the Brandeis encounter.  She hit seven-of-16 field goal opportunities and five charity tosses in six tries.  She followed that performance with a 20-point (game's second-high scorer), four-steal afternoon in the come-from-behind verdict over NYU. She connected on eight field goals in 11 opportunities and all four from the free throw line in running her double-figure scoring streak to 15 games. It was her fourth effort of 20 or more points this year.

On the season, Oldshue has started all 18 Emory contests and leads the squad in scoring (16.3 ppg), rebounding (7.1 rpg), field goal shooting (.559, 104 of 186) and blocked shots (18).
