Emory University women's basketball junior Claire Brock was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 6 Second Team as announced earlier Tuesday morning.
This marks Brock's first career selection to an All-Region team as she was an integral part of Emory's 15-9 record in 2021-2022. Brock is just the fifth Eagle in program history to earn D3hoops.com All-Region honors and the first since Ashley Oldshue was a back-to-back selection in 2018 and 2019. This is Brock's second postseason award this season after she was an All-UAA First Team performer earlier this month.

Brock was an elite scoring talent for the Eagles this season, leading the team in scoring at 16.2 points per game. She was a deadeye from behind the arc as she led the conference and ranked 17th in Division III in three-point shooting having made 49 threes on a 40.5% shooting clip. Brock finished the season having scored in double figures in 20 of the 23 games she played including scoring 20 or more in seven games. Scoring a career-high 28 points against Case Western Reserve on January 21st, Brock cemented herself in the history books by scoring the ninth most points in a single game in program history.
By virtue of being named an All-Region selection, Brock is now eligible to be chosen as a D3hoops.com All-American. The 2022 D3hoops.com All-America teams will be announced Saturday, March 19 prior to the start of the Division III national championship game.
