Three Eagles Recognized with 2024 All-UAA Honors

The Emory University women's basketball team had three members selected to the University Athletic Association Team as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.

Graduate student Claire Brock led the selections with her All-UAA First Team honor while junior Daniella Aronsky was named to the All-UAA Second Team. Fellow junior Morgan Laudick rounded out the Eagles' selections with an Honorable Mention selection.

Brock picks up her third All-UAA selection of her career and her second First Team selection after becoming one of the leading scorers for the Emory squad. She averaged 15.1 points per game good for fifth best in the conference and finished top 10 in the conference in field goal percentage (40.7, 9th) and three pointers per game (1.9, 2nd). Brock's highest scoring game against a conference opponent came against Carnegie Mellon (Jan. 21) where she scored 26 points and shot 46.2 percent from beyond the arc. She also posted two double-doubles this season against Chicago (Feb. 11) scoring 17 points with a career-high 16 rebounds and Rochester (Feb. 23) where she posted 22 points and 10 rebounds. Outside of conference play, Brock posted a career-high 39 points against the then ranked No. 23 Washington and Lee (Nov. 25) ranking her second on the all-time program list. This season, Brock added three UAA Athlete of the Week awards to her collection while picking up two D3Hoops.com National Team of the Week honors.

Aronsky earns her second-ever All-UAA team selection having another successful season with the Eagles. She focused this season on her passing totaling 73 assists on the season finishing in a tie for first in the conference while averaging 5.2 assists per game. She posted a season-high 13 assists against Carnegie Mellon (Feb. 18) while also scoring 12 points good for the double-double. Aronsky also paced the conference with her 2.5 assist/turnover ratio in conference play and ranks 38th in the nation with her 2.3 total ratio. While only averaging 8.9 points per game, Aronsky exploded towards the end of the season posting double-digit points in the team's last five games including a career high 26 points against Case Western Reserve (Feb. 16) and a career high seven three pointers. This season, Aronsky was chosen as a UAA Athlete of the Week and was selected to the D3Hoops.com National Team of the Week for the first time in her career.

For the first time in her career, Laudick earns an All-UAA selection after seeing 10 games of conference action. She averaged 11.8 points per game in UAA play ranking 15th in the conference and posted a career high 22 points against WashU (Jan. 12). Laudick was effective for the Eagles on ball control totaling 49 rebounds in conference play averaging 4.9 per game ranking 17th in the conference. She also helped pace the Eagles shooting 90.5 percent from the line making 19 of 21 attempts. Outside of conference play, Laudick posted the first double-double of her career against Piedmont (Dec. 5) posting 11 points and 10 rebounds and totaled nine games with double-digit points.
