Brock, Aronsky Named to D3hoops.com All-Region Team

Graduate student Claire Brock and junior Daniella Aronsky have been selected to the D3hoops.com Region Six Team as announced by the office on Tuesday afternoon.

Brock, who was selected to the Region Six first team, earns her third straight selection, the first Eagle to ever do so, while Aronsky picks up her first selection being named to the Region Six second team. This is just the 10th and 11th time in program history the Eagles have been selected to the D3hoops.com All-Region team. 

Brock easily became the biggest scorer for the Emory squad while averaging 17.1 points per game good for first in the conference and finished top 10 in the conference in field goal percentage (47.3, 7th) and three pointers per game (2.4, 1st).

In just the first few games of the season, Brock posted a career-high 39 points against then ranked No. 23 Washington and Lee which ranks her second on the all-time program list in most points in a single game. Her best game in conference play came against the Carnegie Mellon Titans where she scored 26 points and shot 46.2 percent from beyond the arc. Alongside her scoring, she also shows her talent on the other side of the game posting two double-doubles this season against Chicago, scoring 17 points with a career-high 16 rebounds, and against Rochester where she notched 22 points and 10 rebounds.

This season Brock has earned a numerous amount of recognition around the conference and on the national stage adding three UAA Athlete of the Week awards to her collection while picking up two D3hoops.com National Team of the Week honors. She has also been named to the All-UAA First Team and has recently been named as a finalist for the prestigious Jostens Trophy.

Aronsky earns her first D3hoops.com All-Region selection after another successful season with the Eagles. She led the conference by a landslide totaling 135 assists across 26 games averaging 5.2 assists per game rankings 15th in the nation. She posted a season-high 13 assists against the Carnegie Mellon Tartans while also scoring 12 points good for the double-double.

She finished second in the conference behind Brock totaling 2.2 three pointers per game and saw a career-high seven three pointers against Case Western Reserve where she also posted a career-high 26 points. Aronsky exploded towards the ends of the season posting double-digit points in the team's last six games including her 26-point game.

This season, Aronsky was chosen as a UAA Athlete of the Week and was selected to the D3Hoops.com National Team of the Week for the first time in her career. She also earned All-UAA second team honors earlier this season.

The duo helped lead the Eagles to the postseason for the second season in a row as Emory finished the season with a 19-7 record.
