Emory Women's Golf Places Fourth at Williams Championship

The No. 4 ranked Emory women's golf team had a strong weekend, finishing fourth overall in tough conditions at the Williams College Women's Golf Championships. The 36-hole tournament was played at the 5,600-yard, par-71 course at the Taconic Golf Club.

The Eagles finished with a score of 626 with a score of 312 on Saturday and 314 on Sunday. Host Williams College, ranked No. 5 by the Women's Golf Coaches Association Poll, won the tournament with a score of 590 and were followed by No. 15 Amherst College (592) and No. 10 New York University (616). 

The Eagles only traveled four golfers and freshman Sharon Mun led the way, finishing tied for 10th overall with a score of 152 (76-76). In the field of 56 golfers, freshman Ellen Dong posted a score of 156 (77-79) and following just behind her was freshman Heejo Hyun who recorded a score of 157 (79-78). Closing out scoring for the Eagles was sophomore Mariana Chong who concluded her weekend with a score of 161 (80-81).

The Eagles return to action October 17-19 where they will be competing at the Golfweek Invitational in Miramar Beach, Florida.
