Emory University's Talia Dweck, Melanie Levy
and Emily Rubin were honored by the University
Athletic Association (UAA) as each earned a spot on the all-UAA
women's soccer team.
Dweck was named to the all-UAA first team, Levy to the second team,
and Rubin an honorable mention. This is the second all-UAA
postseason honor for Dweck, and the first for Levy and Rubin.
Dweck turned in the best season of her career in 2009, setting a
new school record with a conference-best 12 assists during the
season. The senior co-captain led all UAA players with
six assists in conference matches, and led the Eagles in scoring
with 16 points. Last season, Dweck was named an honorable
mention to the all-UAA team.
Levy finished the season tied for the team lead with five goals,
including two in conference play. The junior added on four
assists during the season for a total of 14 points, the second-best
total on the squad. Levy, who started all 18 games for Emory
during the season, also notched two game-winning goals.
Rubin, a team co-captain, keyed an Emory defense that recorded a
1.14 goals against average, while helping the team outshoot its
opponents 318 - 188. The junior played in 16 of Emory's 18
games, making 15 starts, including five in UAA matches. She
also finished the season with three goals and six points for the
Eagles.
The Eagles finished the 2009 season on a four-match winning streak,
improving to an overall record of 8-5-5, including a 2-3-2 mark in
