The Emory University women's soccer team will look to end a
four-match winless streak on Thursday, as the squad will travel to
Berry College to face the Lady Vikings at 4:00 PM.
Emory currently stands at 4-3-5 on the season, including a 3-2-1
record in matches away from the Woodruff P.E. Center. The
Eagles are coming off an 0-1-1 week, during which they tied New
York University and lost to Brandeis University.
Berry currently stands at 6-4-1 on the season, including a record
of 3-1-0 at home. Currently in transition from the NAIA to
the NCAA Division III, the Lady Vikings are coming off a 1-0 loss
to Auburn University Montgomery on Friday. Berry has won
three of its last four matches, all of which have been at home.
Last season, the Eagles earned their first win over Berry College,
defeating the Lady Vikings 1-0 in double overtime. The Eagles
are 1-7-0 all time against Berry.
Emory Notes:
Emory senior Talia Dweck currently leads the
team with 11 points and nine assists this season, including three
assists and a goal in Emory's last three games... Dweck's nine
assists are the most among all University Athletic Association
(UAA) players and two shy of the program's single season record...
The Eagles' co-captain also leads the conference with four assists
in UAA matches, and is tied for the UAA lead with six points in
conference play... Dweck is also 14th in Division III
with 0.75 assists per game... Emory is one tie away from
matching a school record for ties in a season... 11 different
players have scored goals for Emory this season, and seven Eagles
have scored multiple goals.
