Emory Women’s Soccer Returns Home to Host Guilford

The Emory University women's soccer team will look to extend its undefeated streak to seven games on Saturday, as the Eagles will host Guilford College at the Woodruff Physical Education Center at 12:00 PM.

Emory has gone 3-0-3 over its past six contests, improving its record to 3-1-3 overall.  The Eagles are currently ranked seventh in the South Atlantic Region and are undefeated against Division III opponents during the year.  Emory is 0-0-2 at home this season.

Guilford will enter Saturday's contest with a 2-6-0 record, including a 0-4-0 mark in road matches during the year.  The Quakers are coming off a 4-0 loss to ninth-ranked Lynchburg College on Wednesday, September 23rd

Emory is 6-1-1 all time against Guilford College, including a 4-0 last season.  Lauren Smith has a goal and an assist during her career against Guilford, while Talia Dweck has tallied a pair of assists.

During their six-match undefeated streak, the Eagles have outscored their opponents 12-5... Emory has outshot its opponents 138-55, including a 85-29 shots on goal advantage, during the streak... Goalkeeper Kirsten Baecher has gone 2-0-3 with 22 saves and a 0.87 goals against average during the Eagles' last six games... Sophomore Caroline Coates became the first Eagle to record a ‘golden goal' as her first career goal, with her overtime game-winner against Birmingham Southern College on Tuesday... Coates, Meghan McMahon and Kelly Short have all scored game-winning goals for the Eagles this season.
