The Emory University women's soccer team will look to rebound
from its loss to the University of Chicago last Saturday, as the
Eagles will return home to face New York University on Friday and
Brandeis University on Sunday.
Friday night's match against New York University will start at 7:30
PM, while Sunday's game will commence at 1:30 PM. Both games
will be webcasted live, which fans can access at
http://www.emoryathletics.com/information/webcasts.
Emory will enter the contest with a 4-2-4 overall record this
season, including a mark of 1-0-3 at home this season. The
Eagles are currently tied for fifth-place in the University
Athletic Association (UAA) with a 0-1-1 record in conference play
this season. Emory is coming off a 2-1 loss to the
11th-ranked University of Chicago last weekend, the
team's first loss to an NCAA Division III opponent this
season. Emory is ranked seventh in the South Atlantic Region,
according to the latest NSCAA poll.
New York University will enter the contest with an overall record
of 8-4-0 and record of 4-3-0 away from home. The Violets are
currently tied for seventh in the conference with a 0-2-0 record in
UAA play, following a 1-0 loss to Case Western Reserve University
last weekend.
Emory is 9-0-5 all time against New York University, including wins
in five of the last six meetings. Last season, the Eagles
earned a 4-1 win against the Violets in New York. During last
year's meeting, current Eagle Olivia Lezanski
registered a goal, while Talia Dweck and
Alyssa Perez each notched an assist.
Brandeis will begin the weekend with a 6-4-2 overall record this
season, including a 2-2-2 mark on the road, and will play at
Carnegie Mellon University before facing the Eagles on
Sunday. The Judges are currently 0-2-0 in UAA matches,
placing them in a tie for seventh in the conference. Brandeis
is currently ranked sixth in the New England Region, according to
the latest NSCAA poll.
Emory is 14-5-2 all time against Brandeis, including wins in four
of the last five meetings. Last season, the Eagles defeated
Brandeis 3-1 on the road. Emory's Dweck has recorded
two-career assists against the Judges.

Dweck currently ranks 41st among all NCAA Division
III players with 0.6 assists per game... The senior co-captain is
currently tied for the team lead in scoring, with one goal and six
assists for eight points... Dweck is currently tied for the
conference lead in assists and assists per game... 11 different
Eagles have scored goals this season, and three different Emory
players have scored game-winning goals... Junior Meghan
McMahon leads the team with four goals and two
game-winning goals... Emory has not lost a home game this season,
and has gone undefeated in its last 26 home contests... The Eagles'
last home loss came on October 27, 2006 to the University of
Rochester.
