Emory Notes
This season marks just the fourth time in the program’s
history that Emory has lost one game through its first 17
contests… The previous years were 1998, 2001, and
2007… The Eagles made it to the round of 16 of the NCAA
Tournament in two of those three seasons (1998 and 2007)…
Emory’s Kaele Leonard is currently ranked
12th among all NCAA Division III goalkeepers with a
0.902 save percentage and 15th with a 0.432 goals
against average… Emory’s Kelly
Costopoulos was named the UAA’s Offensive Player of
the Week for women’s soccer after scoring two goals last
weekend, including the game-winning ‘golden goal’ in
the Eagles’ 2-1 win over Case Western Reserve
University… Costpoulos leads all UAA players with nine
points in conference play this season, and is tied for first in the
conference with four goals in UAA matches… The
freshman’s two game-winning goals are tied for the conference
lead as well… Seniors Emily Rubin and
Sara Belsole were named to the ESPN the Magazine
Academic All-District team earlier this week.
