Emily Feldman

Emily Feldman

Emory University senior forward Emily Feldman scored the team’s only goal during the fifth-ranked Eagles’ 1-1 double-overtime tie with top-ranked Washington University (Mo.) on Sunday.  Feldman scored with a header in the 14th minute, responding to a Washington goal just 35 seconds prior, and tying the game at a goal apiece.  The goal was just the second scored against the Bears this season, who entered the game as the top-ranked defense in Division III.  Feldman played 81 minutes in the game, leading all Eagles with five shots, including three on goal.  The score was her team-leading fourth of the season, and she is tied for the team lead with nine points in 2014.  Feldman and the Eagles are one of the eight remaining undefeated squads in Division III this season, moving to 6-0-3 with the conference-opening tie.
