Emory University sophomore forward Cristina Ramirez led the 11^th-ranked Eagles with three points, coming on a goal and an assist, during the team’s opening weekend of play.  Ramirez came off the bench in each of the team’s two games at the Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists Classic, totaling two shots, both of which were on goal.  On Friday, during the Eagles’ 1-1 tie with Christopher Newport University, Ramirez scored the Eagles’ only goal of the contest, equalizing the score in the 43^rd minute of play.  On Saturday, during a 2-0 win over host Virginia Wesleyan College, the forward assisted on a key insurance goal in the 79^th minute.
