Karina Rodriguez

Emory University senior Karina Rodriguez scored a pair of goals on Sunday afternoon to lead the sixth-ranked Eagles to a 3-1 win over Capital University.  Rodriguez started and played 47 minutes in the game, getting the Eagles on the board in the 12th minute, and scoring a key insurance goal in the 72nd minute to give Emory a 3-1 advantage it would hold on to the remainder of the game.  The forward led all players in the game with three shots on goal, and tied for the game lead with four total shots.  Sunday’s performance marked the third multiple goal game of Rodriguez’s career, and she is now tied for second on the team with five points (two goals and an assist) this season.  The Eagles have won three-straight games, and are undefeated in 2014 with a 4-0-2 record.
