Emory continued their dominance in home openers, moving to 26-1-3 all-time after defeating LaGrange College 4-0 on Wednesday night. The Eagles controlled the flow of the game from the start, keeping the ball on their side of the field for virtually the entire 90 minutes. Emory outshot the Pathers 32-0 and have outshot its opponents 68-5 during their current winning streak. Cristina Ramirez scored her team-leading second goal of the season in the win over LaGrange. Kaitlyn Dorka, Sophia Dillon and Abbe McCarter added goals for the Eagles. Kristen Temple and Danielle Staffin combined for the shutout in goal. Temple made the start and went untested in her 78:55 minutes of action. Staffin played the remaining 11:05 and did not see a shot come her way.

Birmingham Southern Panthers Preview

The Panthers enter the matchup 4-2 on the season but fell in their last time out to Auburn-Montgomery, 4-0. BSC has seen seven players register a goal this season led by Jessie Sperry's five. Taylor Andrews is second on the team with three followed by three players with two goals. Birmingham Southern has played three different goalkeepers so far in 2015 with Katie Williams getting the majority of action. Williams has played in five games, making three starts, and is 4-0 with a 1.33 GAA and a .429 save percentage. Ansley Tomlin has played in three contests, making two starts, and is 0-1 on the year to go along with a 1.00 GAA and .600 save percentage. BSC is coached by second year head coach Sean McBride.

This will be the eighth matchup in the all-time series with Emory being 7-0 in the previous meetings.

The Vikings enter the matchup 3-1-1 on the season but suffered their first loss of the year in their last time out, losing to Piedmont 1-0. Seven players have tallied a goal during the campaign with Maggie Midkiff leading the team with five goals.
