The Emory University women's soccer team hosts the #7 Washington University Bears in a pivotal University Athletic Association matchup on Saturday afternoon from the Woodruff PE Center. The game is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.

Emory Eagles Notes & Preview

An early goal by the University of Chicago was all the offense the Maroons needed to hand Emory the 1-0 defeat last Saturday…Senior GK Liz Arnold made six saves in the game including a few terrific ones in the games' remaining minutes to keep it a one-goal game…For the season, Arnold has made 25 saves for a .758 save percentage to go along with a sub-1.00 GAA which stands at 0.89…Junior Cristina Ramirez still stands at 12 points (4 goals, 4 assists) on the year which leads the team and ranks tied for third in the UAA…Her four assists came all against Brooklyn College and tied the school record for most assists in a single game…Her four helpers are tied for third most in the Association...Fellow junior Hannah Meyer was named the UAA Defensive Athlete of the Week on 9/22…The honor marked the first for Meyer this season and for the team in 2015.

Washington Bears Notes & Preview

The Bears enter the weekend's matchup with a 10-1 overall record and are in the midst of an eight-game winning streak.  Senior Olivia Lillegraven leads the WashU offense with team-highs in goals (8) and points (19). After Lillegraven, the Bears feature a well-balanced attack with 13 players registering one goal and six players scoring at least two or more goals. The trio of Darcy Cunningham, Katie Chandler and Sam Ezratty have found the back of the net three times a piece, tied for second on the team. In goal, Lizzy Crist has started 10 games, going 9-1 with a 0.68 goals-against average and making 34 saves for a .850 save percentage. The Bears are led on the sidelines for eighth year head coach, Jim Conlon. During his eight seasons with the team Conlon is 123-29-11. In his career, Conlon is 317-134-26 with a previous stint coaching the men's and women's teams at Wartburg for eight seasons.

All-Time Series

Emory leads the all-time series 15-6-5, however both schools have battled to four ties in the last six meetings. Since 2008, the record between the two programs is 1-1-4.

The Eagles will continue UAA play next weekend with two matchups on the road. First, Emory will take on Case West Reserve on Friday night before traveling to Carnegie Mellon for a matchup on Sunday afternoon.
