Junior (2016):

Gurney was named an All-University Athletic Association Honorable Mention for the second straight season after starting in 15 contests and recording two goals and three assists for a career-high seven points…Had a career-high three points including the game-winning goal in Emory’s 3-0 win over the University of Redlands on September 5th…Assisted on the game-winning goal in the Eagles’ 1-0 win over Sewanee University on October 4th…Had a career-best seven shots and added an assist in the team’s 5-0 win over Division II Brevard College on October 25th…Logged a season-high 90 minutes in the team’s 2-1 win over 23rd-ranked Centre College on September 25th.

Sophomore (2015):

Gurney played in all 18 games, making 16 starts for the Eagles during her sophomore season. She played a key role in Emory posting a 0.73 goals-against average, a mark that ranked 58th in the country. Gurney earned All-UAA honors for the first time in her career as she was selected as an Honorable Mention. She finished the season with one goal and one assist for three goals. Gurney found the back of the net in Emory’s 2-1 win over Bridgewater College on September 13th. She added an assist in the team’s 3-1 win at Berry College on September 20th. For the season, she recorded 18 shots with half being put on goal.

Freshman (2014):

Gurney was one of just five players and two freshman to appear in each of Emory’s 19 games during her inaugural collegiate campaign in 2014.  The midfielder scored one goal and assisted on two others in 2014 for four points.  She notched a goal and an assist during the team’s 9-0 win over LaGrange College on October 22nd.  Her other assist during the campaign came on a goal in the team’s 3-1 win over Capital University on September 21st.  Gurney took 20 shots during the year, nine of which were on goal.

Played for four years on the Walt Whitman High School team, leading the team in scoring from 2011-14... Helped her team to the State Championship in 2014... Was named to the All-Gazette Second Team and an All-Met Honorable Mention... Coached in high school by Gregory Herbert... Also played club soccer for the Bethesda Freedom ECNL, where she was coached by Dave Nolan and Ellis Pierre.

Personal:

Born August 23rd... Was on her high school's honor roll from 2010-14, and was a scholar athlete award winner...Daughter of Laura Gurney.
