Second Half Scoring Barrage Gives Emory Women's Soccer Second Win of Season

Four different Eagles registered second half goals as the Emory University Women's Soccer improved to 2-0 following a 4-0 shutout over Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, NC on Monday afternoon.

The Eagles controlled all facets of the Labor Day contest, outshooting the Falcons 23-2 including an 15-2 margin in shots on goal. Emory totaled seven corner kicks compared to Pfeiffer's one.

Junior Jordan Doak began the scoring in the 49th minute, finding the back of the net off the Abbe McCarter pass. Classmate Danielle Darius made it 2-0 just over five minutes later as she recorded an unassisted tally.

Freshman Anne Otterbein netted her first career goal off a Sophia Dillon assist in the 60th minute while senior Kaitlyn Dorka collected her first goal of the campaign at the 74-minute mark to provide the 4-0 final margin.

Sophomore Haley Pratt stopped both shots she faced as she improved to 2-0 between the posts with her second career shutout.

Emory travels to Meredith College next weekend for a pair of matchups, beginning with a meeting with 13th-ranked Johns Hopkins University at 2:20 PM EST.
