Emory Women's Soccer Falls to #13 Johns Hopkins, 1-0

The Emory University Women's Soccer team fell to 2-1 on the season following a 1-0 defeat to 13th-ranked Johns Hopkins University on Saturday afternoon in Raleigh, NC. The game was part of the Esprit DIII National Classic held at Meredith College.

JHU's Riley O'Toole broke a scoreless tie in the 78th minute with her first goal of the season. Bailey Monaco and Kyla Persky picked up assists on the goal for the Blue Jays.

Emory was limited to just three shots on target in the contest by juniors Madison Phaneuf, Abbe McCarter and freshman Caroline Kolski.

Sophomore Haley Pratt made a career-high six saves as she fell to 2-1 on the year. JHU's Bess Kitzmiller improved to 2-0-1 as she stopped all three shots that came her way.

Emory returns to action on Sunday afternoon with a meeting with tournament host Meredith, beginning at 1:00 PM EST.
