Dani Staffin Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

Emory University junior Dani Staffin has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Soccer team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced on Thursday afternoon.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution.

Staffin, who just completed her junior season, has a 4.00 GPA as an Information Systems and Operations Management major. She made 12 appearances in 2017 including 11 in a starting role, finishing the year with a 5-4-1 record and 1.18 goals-against average. Staffin made 29 saves including a season-high six stops against UAA-foes NYU and Case Western Reserve. She was also named the UAA Defensive Player of the Week on October 23rd as she registered one of her four shutouts of the season against Roanoke College.

Staffin will now be placed on the national ballot for the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team. The Academic All-America teams for women's soccer will be announced on Tuesday, December 5th.
