Six from Women's Soccer Earn All-UAA Honors; Kylie Hall Named Offensive MVP

The Emory University women's soccer team was well represented on the University Athletic Association All-League Team that was announced by the conference Monday morning.

Six players earned recognition in total, including three on the All-UAA First Team. Senior Kylie Hall was honored as the league's Offensive Player of the Year, becoming the fifth player in team history to earn Player of the Year honors and the first since Lauren Gorodetsky earned three straight MVP awards from 2011-13.

To go along with her Offensive MVP honors, Hall was tabbed to the Association's First Team and was joined on the top team by junior Grace Reyer and freshman Riley Miller. Fellow freshman Samantha Lim earned Second Team honors while senior LJ Kolodge and graduate student Mara Rodriguez garnered Honorable Mention recognition.

In seven UAA games, Hall recorded league-leading totals in goals (5) and points (13) while registering a point in all five Emory conference wins. She had a goal and an assist in three conference games against WashU, Chicago and Rochester and netted three game-winning goals against NYU, Brandeis and UR. The UAA portion of Hall's historic season tells only a portion of how well the senior forward has played as her non-conference totals were equally as impressive. Hall finished the regular season with 30 points on eight goals and a team-record 14 assists, the first Emory player to reach 30 points in a season since 2001 and the ninth to ever accomplish the feat. She broke team records for consecutive games with an assist (7) and points (9) and notched a point in 11 of the team's 12 wins. She was a two-time UAA Offensive Athlete of the Week and currently ranks third in Division III in assists per game (0.88), a mark that is on pace to shatter the Emory single-season record in that category. In her first two NCAA tournament games, she racked up one goal and two more assists and is creeping up the all-time Emory single-season points leaderboard as she now stands sixth all-time with 34 points (9G, 16A).

After posting three goals and three assists in her debut season, Reyer enhanced her offensive output for the Eagles during her junior year, finishing as the second-leading offensive weapon. Reyer tied for the team lead with eight goals and added a pair of assists for 18 points and had game-winning goals against WashU and Lynchburg. During UAA play, Reyer had three goals in as many contests, scoring in wins over the Bears and Brandeis while contributing to the team's lone goal in the loss at Carnegie Mellon. Furthermore, she finished sixth in the UAA with a 0.50 goals per game average.

Miller made her presence felt immediately in her rookie season, aiding the Eagles' defensive efforts as she played in all 16 games during the regular season including 12 as a starter. With her contributions on defense, the Eagles turned in seven shutouts, three of which came in conference action. To go along with backline efforts, Miller picked up the first collegiate point of her career with an assist against Brandeis.

Lim joins Miller as two of three freshman to earn First or Second Team honors in the conference as he makes the Second team. In her first season in Blue & Gold, Lim finished tied for fifth on the team with eight points on the strength of two goals and four assists. She picked up her first two collegiate goals in conference play, coming as part of the team's win at Chicago and at home versus Brandeis, and had a four-game assist streak to help Emory to wins over Maryville, WashU, Oglethorpe and UC. She appeared in all 16 games and was one of seven players to start in at least 15.

Kolodge earns Honorable Mention following strong defensive play as part of Emory's 5-2 run through league play where they outscored opponents 14-7 and was one of three players to start all 16 games during the regular season. During the Eagles' 4-2 non-conference stretch to open the season, Kolodge showcased some of her offensive capabilities as she scored four goals in three wins including her first career brace in the team's win over Lynchburg and added a goal in NCAA tournament action against Piedmont.

Rodriguez rounds out the Emory honorees as her first season with the Eagles garners her Honorable Mention recognition. She picked up a goal in the regular season finale against Rochester and had an assist in the team's win over WashU in the conference opener. Rodriguez was one of four players to net double digits in points during the season, finishing second on the team with five assists and added four goals scored. She was also tabbed the UAA Offensive Athlete of the Week following a hat trick performance at Maryville, with her three markers representing the first goals scored of her collegiate career. This past weekend, she added a goal to her ledger in the Eagles' second round win over Centre.

The Eagles currently stand 13-4-1 on the season and will continue their season this weekend in Pittsburgh with the NCAA Sectional Rounds, hosted by Carnegie Mellon. Emory is set to battle No. 5 Messiah University (19-1-2) Saturday night at 7:30 PM.
