Title: Assistant Coach

Jene Baclawski joined the Emory women's soccer program as an assistant coach in August, 2006.

Baclawski owns a wealth of experience in the sport program including 10 years of working with youth soccer teams, including the Girl's Academy Program, as well as numerous select teams for the Atlanta Fire United Soccer Association.  She served as a member of the coaching staff at Marist High School in 2001 and organized the Atlanta Fire Women's Division I team.  She has both the USSF "B" and National "Youth" coaching licenses. 

Baclawski enjoyed an impressive three-year career as a player at the University of Queens in Charlotte (1995-98) where she helped the Royals to three Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference (CVAC) regular season and tournament championships.  An All-America Scholar Athlete, Baclawski earned all-conference recognition and served as team captain while at Queens. She earned her bachelor's degree in philosophy and religious studies. 

A certified personal trainer, Baclawski is an avid runner and cyclist.  She obtained her master's degree in women's studies from Georgia State in 2002 and is completing her dissertation on women and the demands of being a sports parent at the University of Georgia where she will graduate with her doctoral degree in sports studies in 2007.
