Prior to Emory:

Swam on the Grafton High School team for four seasons, serving as the team captain during her senior year... Was the Wisconsin State Champion in the 100-yard backstroke in 2006 and 2007 and the runner-up in 2008... Named the North Shore Conference Swimmer of the Year, and won conference and sectional championships... Helped her team to finish second at the state championships... Swam career-best times of 55.76 in the 100-yard backstroke, 2:00.47 in the 200-yard backstroke, and 2:07.49 in the 200-yard individual medley... Coached in high school by Adan Burgos... Coached on her club team by David Anderson... Multiple time YMCA National Finalist... Was a U.S. Open and U.S. Junior National qualifier.

Personal:

Born July 23, 1992... Sister swam for the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.
