Clio Hancock & Nicholas Goudie Sweep UAA Swimming Weekly Honors

Emory University sophomore Clio Hancock and freshman Nicholas Goudie were recognized as the University Athletic Association Swimmers of the Week for their performances against Queens University of Charlotte on Saturday.

Hancock registered one of Emory's two event wins on the women’s side in the season opening meet against the DII powerhouse Royals in Charlotte, NC. Hancock took home top honors in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:05.98 and added a pair of second place finishes in the 200 Freestyle (1:54.42) and 200 IM (2:07.75).

On the men’s side, Goudie recorded one of Emory's two event wins in Saturday’s meet against the Royals, winning the 50 Freestyle in a time of 20.95. Goudie also added a second place finish in the 100 Freestyle (46.58) and was part of two second place relays: 200 Free Relay (1:24.91) and 200 Medley Relay (1:32.25).

The Eagles are back in the pool this Saturday, October 26th, at 1:00 PM with a dual meet inside the Woodruff PE Center against Birmingham-Southern College.
