Ariana Khan & Lucas Bumgarner Sweep Day Two of NCAA Regionals

Senior Lucas Bumgarner and sophomore Ariana Khan swept the final the events on day two as the NCAA Diving Regionals concluded Saturday afternoon in Atlanta.

Following her second place finish on Friday, Khan captured the 1-meter regional crown on Saturday as she paced the field of 19 divers with a score of 398.00, one of three divers above the 393 mark. Junior Tess Klugherz bolstered her claim to one of the NCAA allocation with a third place finish, totaling a 393.85 score.

After Eagles' strong showing in the 1-meter, Bumgarner continued to excel as he won the regional title in the 3-meter once again, marking his third straight regional win in the event. In his 11 dives, Bumgarner performed to the tune of 593.25, nearly 100 points better the next closest competitor.

Seniors Lanah Petrillo and Rose Gertman added top 10 showings for the Emory women, with Petrillo finishing eighth at 362.85 and Gertzman placing 10th at 340.30. For the men, junior Alex York rounded out the Emory divers with his ninth place finish with a score of 406.95.

The official announcement for who will be awarded the regional's NCAA allocations will be made public over the next couple weeks.
