Emory University’s Zahra Dawson won both of her doubles matches and two of her three singles matches at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Tournament last weekend.  In the opening match of the tournament against NYU, Dawson defeated her first-singles counterpart 6-4, 6-4, and claimed an 8-1 win in the first doubles match with teammate Lorne McManigle.  The sophomore also won both of her matches in the second round against the University of Rochester, claiming a 6-4, 6-0 victory in the first singles match and an 8-4 win in the first doubles match.  She improved to 17-8 in singles play this season (including a 5-2 mark as the Eagles top singles player) and to 16-10 in doubles play.  Dawson led the Eagles to a second-place finish at the UAA Tournament, and to a 17-5 overall record.
