Lorne McManigle

Emory University's Lorne McManigle won the Wilson/ITA South Region Singles and Doubles Championships this past weekend.  McManigle, the reigning NCAA Division III singles champion and top singles seed in this weekend's tournament, defeated teammate and second-seed Zahra Dawson 7-5, 6-2 in the championship match.  In doubles play, McManigle teamed with Dawson as the top-seeded pairing, and won the bracket with an 8-3 victory in the championship match.  The junior finished the tournament with a 5-0 record in singles play, and a 4-0 record in doubles matches.  McManigle has now won the Wilson/ITA Fall Regional Singles and Doubles championships in each of the last two seasons, becoming the first player in the program's history to repeat in both brackets.  By virtue of winning the tournament, McManigle will advance to the ITA Small College Championships in Mobile, AL from October 15th-18th.
