Sunday will mark Emory's fourth overall appearance in the ITA National Indoor Championships title match and the first since 2011. The Eagles were crowned champions in both the 2010 and 2011 tournaments and runners-up in the inaugural 2009 draw.

Emory kicked off the match in quick fashion, dominating all three doubles matches against the Bears. Senior Paula Castro and sophomore Daniela Lopez took the second doubles match by a score of 8-1. Tandems senior Katarina Su/junior Bridget Harding and seniors Michelle Satterfield/Michelle DeMeo followed with identical 8-2 victories at first and third doubles.

Su earned Emory's fourth point at fourth singles, winning 6-0, 6-1 before Satterfield followed with the fifth and decisive point at second singles, edging Grace Deering 6-2, 6-2. DeMeo posted a 7-5, 6-1 win at sixth singles while Lopez recorded a 6-1, 6-3 triumph at third singles.
