Emory Women's Tennis Announces Recruiting Class of 2022

Emory University Women's Tennis Head Coach Amy Bryant has announced the incoming recruiting class – Emma Cartledge, Jessica Fatemi, Christina Watson and Lauren Yoon – that will join the Eagles for the 2018-19 season.

"We're very excited to have these four talented players join our Emory Women's Tennis family," Bryant stated. "Their integrity in the classroom and on the court is notable. They also have tremendous work ethics and positive attitudes – two key components for excellence in our program! I am confident they will represent Emory University well over their four years!"

Cartledge, a Roanoke, VA native, is ranked sixth in the state of Virginia and 28th in the Mid-Atlantic region on the Babolat recruiting list and is one of three incoming players to boast a Universal Tennis Rating of nine on the 1-16 scale.

Joining Cartledge with a UTR of nine are Fatemi and Watson. Fatemi, the 33rd ranked player in the Mid-Atlantic, hails from Bethesda, MD and is the currently the fifth ranked player in the state. Watson is from Houston, TX and is ranked 19th in the state and 24th in the Gulf States region.

Rounding out the incoming class is Yoon from Knoxville, TN. Yoon owns a Universal Tennis Rating of eight and is currently the seventh ranked player in the state of Tennessee and 90th in the Southeast.

All four players are currently ranked inside the top-300 nationally with Cartledge and Fatemi leading the way at 171st and 187th, respectively.
