The Emory University Women's Tennis team closed out action in the ITA Grass Court Invitational from Newport, Rhode Island on Sunday with senior Daniela Lopez defeating sophomore Ysabel Gonzalez-Rico in the final in the top women's singles draw. Lopez edged out her Eagle teammate on Sunday in straight sets, winning the match 6-4, 7-6 (8).

In the other all-Emory singles final on the afternoon, sophomore Defne Olcay defeated freshman Lauren Yoon in three sets with Olcay earning the victory 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (5), Freshman Emma Cartledge rounded out the Eagle winners in the tournament on Sunday, beating Carnegie Mellon's Marjorie Antohi 6-2, 6-2 in the consolation round of the Sukova singles flight.

The Eagles return to the courts on the final weekend of September as the team hosts the ITA South Regional Championships with competition running from the 28^th through the 30^th.
