Freshman Alexa Goetz became the latest Eagle to capture the ITA South regional singles title, defeating teammate Emma Cartledge in the championship match in three sets, 6-4, 4-6, 6-0. The title match was the lone time during Goetz's singles run where she was pushed to three sets, winning her previous four matches via straight sets.

Goetz added doubles hardware as well over the weekend, as she teamed with Christina Watson to win the regional crown. After being pushed to a tiebreaker in the opening round, Goetz/Watson dominated the remaining matches of their run, dropping just five games total including just one game in the championship match as they defeated Cartledge and Defne Olcay 6-0, 6-1.
