Emory University women's tennis sophomore Jessica Fatemi was named the University Athletic Association's Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Georgia Southern Fall Shootout. It is Fatemi's first weekly award of the season and third of her career.

Fatemi captured two of Emory's five draw titles at the weekend tournament. In singles, she defeated opponents from SCAD (6-4, 4-6, 6-1), Georgia Southern (6-3, 7-6) and Arkansas State (7-5, 6-3) to win her draw and in doubles, Fatemi teamed with junior Katie Chang to best tandems from SCAD (6-4), Florida A&M (6-1) and Kennesaw State (6-0) en route to the draw title.

Fatemi closes out the fall portion of the schedule with a 6-3 record in singles and a 7-2 mark in doubles.
