The Emory University women's tennis team heads to Nicholasville, KY for the 2020 ITA Division III National Indoor Championships, hosted by Centre College. Matches will be played the Top Seed Tennis Club.
The Eagles will be in search of their fourth straight national indoors team title after knocking off Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges in the championship match the last three years. Overall, Emory will be making its seventh appearance at the indoor tournament, winning the team title in 2010, 2011, 2017, 2018, 2019 and were runners-up in the inaugural championship match in 2009.
The 2020 version of the National Indoor Championship will feature several of the top Division III programs in the country with seven of the nation's top-10 programs making the trip to Nicholasville.
Third-ranked Emory enters as the No.-2 seed in the draw and will oppose fellow UAA member and 10th-ranked Brandeis University in the opening round Friday morning. Other first round matchups will feature top-seed and second-ranked CMS battling host Centre College, third-seeded and 5th-ranked Pomona-Pitzer against 9th-ranked MIT and a UAA showdown between 7th-ranked Carnegie Mellon and 8th-ranked Chicago.
Semifinal matches will occur on Saturday with the championship match scheduled for Sunday.
