Eliza McPherron

Freshman Eliza McPherron became the latest Eagle to capture the ITA South Regional singles championship, doing so this past weekend in Tennessee. McPherron went 6-0 as she made her way through the singles draw, defeating Methodist's Megan Kidd (6-3, 6-0), Piedmont's Imani Vincent (6-1, 6-0), Sewanee's Natalia Nassar (6-2, 7-5), teammates Alexa Goetz (6-4, 4-6, 7-5) and sophomore Ana Cristina Perez (2-6, 6-3, 6-1) and NC Wesleyan's Kristal Dule (7-5, 6-2) on her path to the title.

McPherron added a doubles quarterfinals run with Christina Watson, defeating Piedmont's Vincent/Laidman 8-3 before falling to eventual runner-ups Emma Cartledge/Jessica Fatemi, 8-4, in the quarters.
