The Emory University women's tennis team defeated the DePauw Tigers 9-0 on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia on senior day.
The win marks the Eagles sixth win this season, their fifth in a row and hand the Tigers their 11th loss of the spring season.
Before the match, Emory celebrated seniors Alexa Goetz and Stephanie Shulman in a ceremony on the courts.
In doubles, junior Ana Cristina Perez and freshman Emily Kantrovitz earned the first point of the day with their 8-4 decision on court one. Freshman Izzy Antanavicius and Goetz posted an 8-6 win on court three followed by an 8-0 victory from freshman Iris Berman and sophomore Eliza McPherron on three.
For the second consecutive match, the Eagles earned straight set wins in all six matches starting with a 6-1, 6-0 win from Shulman on one. Kantrovitz earned a 7-5, 6-0 victory on two followed by a 6-1, 6-0 win on three from McPherron.
On court four, Berman posted a 6-1, 6-0 decision while Goetz received another point for the Eagles on five with a 6-1, 6-1 win on five. Antanavicius rounded out the win on six with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
Emory will finish their weekend with a home match against Sewanee on Sunday, March 26 at 3 pm.
