The Emory University women's tennis team defeated the Brenau University Golden Tigers on Saturday afternoon with a 9-0 victory in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Eagles improve to 9-4 on the season and remain undefeated at home while the Golden Tigers drop to 9-8 on the year.
In doubles, junior Ana Cristina Perez and freshman Emily Kantrovitz won their match on court one with an 8-3 decision. Senior Alexa Goetz and freshman Izzy Antanavicus recorded an 8-1 victory on two followed by an 8-3 win on three from senior Stephanie Shulman and freshman Alyssa Margolin.
Each of the Eagles earned straight set wins in singles started by Shulman with a 6-1, 6-2 win on court one followed by a 6-4, 6-0 decision from Kantrovitz on two. Junior Ilayda Baykan collected a win (6-0, 6-0) on court three while Goetz posted a 6-0, 6-2 victory on court four.
Berman (6-0, 6-1) and Margolin (6-1, 6-0) rounded out the match on courts five and six to secure the win for Emory.
The Eagles will face Georgia Gwinnett on Tuesday, April 11 at 3:30 pm in Atlanta for the final home match of the season.
