Women’s Tennis Defeats WashU to Earn Spot in Championship Final

The Emory University women's tennis team took down the WashU Bears by a 5-0 decision on Friday afternoon to earn a spot in the UAA Championship finals.

The No. 2 seeded Eagles will face the No. 1 Chicago Maroons on Saturday morning to compete for the conference title after the Maroons defeated the fifth seeded NYU Violets. It will be the sixth straight time the two teams will face off in the UAA championship match. The Eagles last won the UAA title in 2019 after taking down the Maroons by a 5-4 decision.

Emory started off strong with wins in each doubles match against the Bears.
